The dominant Wyoming Triops cruised to a 19 to 8 victory over the Walkerville
Texas Rangers at Triops Stadium.
Hughie Jennings made sure the Wyoming fans enjoyed themselves. He doubled
bringing in a run in the 2nd inning, laced a one-base hit knocking in a run
in the 4th inning and laced a base-hit plating two runs in the 8th inning.
Wyoming provided plenty of action in the 2nd inning when they had 5 runs on 5
hits, the 4th inning which saw them plate 6 runs on 7 hits and the 8th inning
with 5 runs on 7 hits. It was roller coaster of a game as the lead change
hands 5 times.
The win was credited to Al Spalding(11-2) who went 5 innings allowing no runs.
The losing pitcher was Pud Galvin(16-10). He allowed Wyoming 12 runs in 3
innings of work.
