In a close game the Bernstein Bears got by the E Street Outlaw Petes in 14
innings by the score of 7 to 5.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Bernstein ended up winning it
in the 14th inning. Carlton Fisk kicked off the action when he banged out a
single. After an out was recorded, Robin Yount stepped in and he cleared the
fences for a two-run home run (his 2nd of the season) making Bernstein the
victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Bernstein finished with 12
hits in the victory.
Early Wynn(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
